Valve Lifter
I have a 2000 and I was wondering if the valve lifter are hydraulic or spring loaded. I am rebuilding this engine and I don't really want to buy 24 new ones at $10.00 a piece. If anyone can help me that would be great.

Re: Valve Lifter
both the 2.7 and the 3.5 V6 use hydraulic lash adjusters. Best thing to do is inspect the adjuster for pitting, burn marks, galling, etc. any kind of abnormal wear of the adjuster. If it doubt, throw it out.
