02 WRX turbo info
Anyone know a good place for technical info on those? I'm looking for compressor maps on the 02 wrx turbo. I'm working with someone on a custom project they are doing and we're considering using a wrx turbo. Just let me know if you know a place where I could find more info on them or if you can point me to somewhere that knows where I can find the compressor maps i'm looking for. thanks

Hey Bro,
I think these sites might help you, if you haven't been on them already: www.wrxhookup.com www.fastwrx.com |

Re: 02 WRX turbo info
it's a pretty small turbo. I think it's a td04h, basically a mitsu 14g (or 14b, from a 2g dsm) with a different exhaust housing.
This is all off the top of my head. i'm trying to remember all the specs from when i was going to turbo my 2.5 with WRX parts. I know i decided it was waay too small and would turn into essentially a blow dryer in the 6 psi range. |

Re: 02 WRX turbo info
are you trying to go for a TT impreza? if so there's a company that did that. I think they're named Ludespeed. Their TT kit put out less power than they're stage 3 single turbo one. But goodluck anyhow.
I take it you're designing it so that both turbos blow into the intake and not one turbo spooling the other one? |

Re: 02 WRX turbo info
No we're putting it on my friends V6. Not gonna say what it is yet. We're just looking for the right turbo and he knows more about that than I do so I was just trying to find him some compressor maps, he understands them I don't, and we are planning on running it like 1 turbo for each 4 cylinders. Not one spooling the other.

Re: 02 WRX turbo info
ah, i see. either way make sure he knows the subaru exhaust flange is way funky. custom making downpipes is a major PITA. It took me like 2 weeks and a plasma cutter and it's still not that great of a dp.

Re: 02 WRX turbo info
BTW i meant each 3 not 4 in my previous post. He found the right turbo now I think. I guess its the one of the 2nd gen DSM's. We are building it as an experiment just to see if we can do it and how well then once we get it down we're gonna shoot for 10's. We have an AWESOME exhaust guy so I think that we won't have any porblems with that.
Thanks for the help everyone. BTW keep kicking ass with those wrx's. I wish i could affored one, those things are awesome cooler than the evo |
