SwaveDave,
Yeah I think I'll hang on to it for a while too. It needs a little attention, but the car's fundamentals (glass, plastic, chrome, interior, electric components, machanics etc.) are great. It just needs some exhaust work, as well as a little body work with a paint job. 10000 Euros is currently about 11 thousand USD. Mind you, that's what a perfect GT will fetch. One in "good" condition costs about 5-6 thaousand Euros. |

Thats not bad since i paid $3200 for my 1971 brand new, in 1971.
Theres few cars that were only made for 5 years or less, so , i think that will help resale value as time goes on. Dave

Re: Opel GT
Well they're not Toyota Corollas in terms of quality, but considering they're 30 years old, the quality is not bad.
The drivetrain is pretty reliable, the interior is pretty solid too. The biggest problem is probably rusty fenders and quarter panels. I'm not really sure how difficult or expensive it is to get parts for them, but I've never heard any complaints about them in terms of quality and reliability (compared to other cars of that era). |
