Question Engine Replacement

What is the difference in the 5.9 VS the other dakotas? Is the engine bay bigger to fit the 360? I'd like to put a 360 in mine which now holds a massive 153. Just wondering what all would have to be done and if it would even fit. Thanks.

What year Truck do you have?? If its A 1992 and newer, The 5.9 should work. That should be when the magnum engines were introduced.

Re: Engine Replacement

I'd suggest just trading this truck on one that already has a V8 in it, but yeah, anything can be done.

You have to consider an engine, harness, pcm, bigger trans, converter, in the end you would have wished you trade it for another truck. somrthing to consider for sure.
