ignition switch and cylinder

If I replace the ignition switch and cylinder will I have to have the passlock reset?? I now have a cylinder that you can remove the key while it is in the start/run position.

All you have to replace is the cylinder, not the PassLock sensor it slides into(thus there is no resetting involved.....the PassLock sensor slides into the ignition switch....so just the cylinder, which requires replacing the tumblers, which is not fun.....
