lost my key
I lost my key the dealer is talking about $150 any suggestions on where I can get one cheaper plus they want to charge to program it.

What year? I have found some regular locksmiths who can cut and program these keys. Try that way before going the dealer route. you can save more than 1/2 price

FGY33 and later require chipped key.
Beware of soft alloys on earlier G50 locks. Locksets are expensive.

i have a 98 altima and it does not start, key may need to be programed, will turn over but no check engine light on when key is initally turned on. live in the bush in alaska, dealer is 500 air miles away, cannot bring vehicle to dealer.

I don't believe that the 98 altimas had chips in their keys. I think thta you have a different problem that is in the engine.
