Need help on leaky brake fluid
I swear, I love my bravada, but it seems like repairs are a weekly thing with this SUV!!! I am now getting a little annoyed!
While driving, the brake light went on, and brakes went to the floor. Stopped at an auto parts store. Pushed on the brakes and noticed brake fluid leaking out behind my left rear tire. It was dusk outside already, so I can't tell where it was leaking, although it was dripping in the center of the brake line doing to the wheel. I am hoping it's just a $13 hose, and not the main brake line. I don't have a repair manual handy, but can someone point me out to a diagram of the anatomy of the brake lines in a Bravada (1999)? Thanks! |

Re: Need help on leaky brake fluid
Thanks! I actually did remember that auto zone had the repair diagrams, etc, so I got them!
Well, we took off the wheel, and there is a small crack in the metal pipe just above where it connects to the rubber hoses. Why can't I get a break with this darn SUV!!! So who knows how much this is gonna cost me at the shop! Thank goodness the owner of the shop is a good friend of the family, and he does give us lots of breaks...but I already have a list of other things that need repaired! ( I have only had the car for 10 months!) |
