Re: fuel pump replacement
What year Accent? The halfway newer models have an access panel to the top of the fuel tank under the back seat. The bottom of the seat has 2 bolts on the back side, under the seat back. Take those 2 bolts out and the seat bottom should come right up.

Re: fuel pump replacement
Well i have got some ideas to replace your fuel pump I hope this could help.Mechanical fuel pump plays a significant role in vehicles equipped with carburetors. It supplies
fuel to the carburetor or fuel injection system with the proper pressure and volume. Although fuel pumps doesn't necessarily require maintenance, You should replace it at once when damaged to avoid further car problems. In doing so, you wont need to hire a licensed technician. With these guides from BlountWeb, you can replace and install new fuel pump with no sweat. But wait! Before following the fuel pump installation guides, BlountWeb recommends these safety tips for you. * Do have a first-aid kit handy * Do be careful when working around hot or sharp objects * Do follow the manufacturer's instructions for all products * Do use safety stands under the frame or drive-on ramps if you must raise your vehicle * Don't run the engine without proper ventilation * Don't smoke when working around the engine Ready now? Then get those basic automotive tools and follow these tips to replace your fuel pump. Old Pump Removal

Re: fuel pump replacement
mechanical fuel pump??? carburator??? niceman he's asking instructions for a Hyundai Accent, not a 86 chevette!!!
maxassassin you should seek help on a Hyundai forum, not here on a general car forum, just look around, the Hyundai section is full of questions like yours but empty of any answers or solutions. OH! and you know Google.com ? it's quite usefull if you want fast answers! search for Accent fuel pump DIY or if the filter is in the tank search for Accent fuel filter DIY, you'll find what you're looking for. |
