P0113 check engine light code
I recently changed the air filter and cleaned the throttle body on the Malibu... I disconnected 2 sensors which I knew one of them would cause a check engine light to come on due to the info I read in my Haynes book.... once I was finished it took the check engine light about 20 mins to come on and when it did I went to AutoZone and they hooked up the code scanner and a P0113- air temperature sensor input above the maximum acceptable voltage.... well they cleared the code... but it came on again and they got the same code and cleared it again.... it is still coming on what should I do?...I know I didn't damage the senor and I made sure it was connected correctly. please help.

Check the wires right at the sensor, they are known to break right at the terminal.

Re: P0113 check engine light code
If checking the wires did not help, change the IAT sensor. It is very simple to do. The part costs about 20 dollars. It is located on the rubber tube right outside the air filter housing. I was getting the same error number and I did that and it fixed the car. You will have to reset the check engine light. If you take it to the dealer they will try and replace all the wires associated with it too. When this sensor goes bad it screws up the transmission because it sends false signals to the computer, which then in turn, sends an incorrect fuel mixture ratio and gives you thumbs and slips.
