96 Intrepid Won't Start
The car started to overheat. pulled over to let cool down. it would not start after that. Had compter dianostics done, no fault found. changed the coil pack & cam sensor. checked fuel pressure, it's good. checked for spark that good too. I'm thinking it's timing. Any suggestions?

check compression. Did the car loose coolant??? Possible warped head...As for the overheating check you cooling fans if they are seized..

Re: 96 Intrepid Won't Start
The same thing happened to my wife's mazda and my brother-in-law's buick, they both ran their cars when it overheated and they both trashed the engines. My wife, fortunately, only warped the head, her brother, melted his entire block. Hundahunta is right do a compression test and go rom their. From personal experience, it sounds like you've melted your engine.

If your car has the 3.5L engine, the water pump might have went bad on you and took out the timing belt in the process.

Re: 96 Intrepid Won't Start
AWP9521, if is timing belt snapped, he would not have spark and fuel pressure b/c the cam sensor would not trigger a signal for the injector to pulse and also it would have set a check engine light for a no cam signal. I won't doubt that he might have a bad water pump, but the timing belt isn't broken because he still has a signal at the cam sensor; even if it's a 3.3 or 3.5.
