Thumbs down 1987 635csi L6 Brakes

Hello everyone-Well I'm putting it out there one more time.My cars brakes still drag after 15 or 20 minutes of driving.I've done everything so far everyone has told me to do --with no luck.I had new brake calipers put on all four wheels,I had the brakes system pressure bled.I had all four wheels balanced and rotated, basically all information given I have done--but all brakes still drag. After the car sits an hour or so the brakes are fine UNTIL I start driving it again-15 to 20 minutes, then the dragging starts again.Hopefully there will be someone out there that can give me the right information to eleviate this continuing nusance.First one that solves this is a winner. The brake shops can't figure it out.I appreciate all the information that you have to give--John

Hmm,

OK, if the brakes start dragging after you use the brakes it is a simple issue.

There is only one reason possible.

Air in the lines and after the brakes heat up the air in the lines expands.

You can get confirmation from any local shop near you.

If the wheel is draging and it is released by opening the bleed port, it also will confirm the issue.

If you continue to drive it and the rotating disks get hot enough to glow, that also will confirm the issue.

I have seen it take over a quart of brake fluid, to get the trapped air expelled from one wheel.

Always start with the farthest wheel from the master cylinder first and work closer.

If a trapped air pocket is not expelled it will travel back to a higher point and can affect all wheels or any wheel.

Later,
