2000 Cougar @ 60 mph
Hello,
I have a 2000 Cougar AT v6 with about 86,000 miles on it. no engine mods. recently my car seems to be losing power when I get to about 60 mph. Any speeds below that it drives/accelerates fine. When I say lose power, what I mean is that once I hit 60+ mph it begins to hesitate for lack of a better word. The car stays on and I can accelerate through it but obviously I need to figure out whats wrong. Its been about a month now. Things I tried are Lucas fuel injector cleaner + Cleaned the MAF sensor + I replaced the fuel filter about 20k ago but I can replace that again if I need to. I can also replace the sensor if thats the problem. The thing that worries me is that I haven't gotten a check engine light yet. I have searched this site a another one but have not found anything useful, Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Last edited by Pablo.station; 06-04-2011 at 02:10 PM. |
