Disable Auto-Wiper Sensor on 2001?

Is it possible to disable the auto-sensor for the windshield wipers on my 01 Ultra?

No matter what intermitent setting I use, the auto-sensor forces the wipers to run too fast in light rain or mist. IOW, I have no control over the wiper speed if it's raining so I'd like to disable the sensor and control the speed with only the intermitent setting.

Have the same problem on my 99. Just unplug the connector on the module up by the rear-view mirror (just back the connector out a bit so it disables). Now you have control...works the old fashioned way.
