Angry serious help

96 blazer w series 4.3 vortec
Was running ok and wouldn't start one day. Fuel pump seemed ok as wasn't losing pressure and could hear engage. New plugs, wires, cap, ignition rotor, fuel filter, air filter, fuel regulator, 2 of the 3 o2 sensors and a new tps. It starts and when I pus in on the gas it dies. There is a misfire on cylinder 1 and its the only code. Have changed spark plug 4 times. It runs for abot 1 mins and when you press on gas no matter how hard it does not go any faster than 10mph and usually dies before it moves..only when pressing on gas...I'm in about1000 on repairs due to towing and all the other bs involved. I need some serious help as I've spent all my savings and have jeopardized our family moving into a newhouse because we,ve spent all our money and we don't make much anyway. Please if anyone can help. I've put injectgor xleaner in and helped before it was running bad but ththen one day on the highway it wouldn't accelerate. Conmpressions seems good on the cylinder and a few mechanic savy friends have looked but we are stumped and I'm flat broke.

Re: serious help

sounds like a fuel pump maybe...

get a gauge and post your exact pressures.
Key ON, engine OFF, fuel pump running: pressure must be 60psi to 66psi and must remain above 55psi for 10 minutes after the pump shuts off.

also, make sure you have a nice blue spark at the plugs.

Re: serious help

pull your 02 sensors & see if this improves performence
if it does you may have a clogged convertor

Why did you cut the cat off?
You need to do some proper testing first.

Check fuel pressure for up to par.
Post back fuel pressure readings key on engine cranking and engine running and the engine running on the road pressure test?

Did you use AC Deco replacement parts and Delphi fuel pump?

Remember Gm engines hate after market off brand stuff.
I have even saw them refuse to start or run with white box stuff!!!!!!!!

Re: serious help

Well, that cat is worth $60 at your local scrap metal yard...since you don't want it, go sell it and buy a $15 fuel pressure tester....and save the rest for more repairs.
