Trick I learned to replace seals

I would like to share a trick I come up with, maybe someone else has done this before and I missed it. It took me about 20 min to change the leaking seal on my front cam seal and I will be trying this on my lower crank seal when time comes.
Took a sharp punch and centered it in the front of the seal and made a small impression on the seal. Then took a small drill bit and drilled a small hole in center of the ring portion of the seal. Took a small screw and screwed it into this hole, pulled screw with pliers and she popped right out!! Warning do not drill into the seal surfaces, I will post a pic soon as I get my home computer up and running.

I just replaced the crank seal on mine and took pictures. Used the screw method also. Here is the thread........

Self tapping screws work well also. They eliminate the punch and drill which can be handy if the spaces are really tight.

Thanks, same screw method works great! Do you have a thread for the distributer oil seal? I found doc's thread for the purchase of the O ring but not the replacement steps.
