has anyone purchased from happyrobotstore eBay? I saw that people had bad dealings with bobbyboy korea and sarahrrc? I purchased from both of them many times with no problems in the past - I see they have disappeared from eBay and now the discount blokes are happyrobotstore? Just want to check on them before I spend money.

I ordered off him back in October last year.

A few days later I read all about him and was horrified.... how could the near 100% feedback be so convincing.

Fearing the worst I emailed him and upgraded my shipping to express.... he was the only one who had the model I wanted - to my surprise the model arrived in 5 days.... heck even my normal trusted suppliers from china never get the item to me that quickly!

The packaging complaints are valid... a wrapped piece of cardboard? ... My item arrived in good condition so I guess I can let that one past, but if you're charging me £2 for a 'box' then please give me a 'box'.

Hypocritically I will probably not buy from him in future - I think I was extremely lucky, but I didnt know at the time who he was. The mass forum complaints and the fact that ebay removes his account regularly were enough to put me off.

This is of course my opinion, if you've had great service etc then carry on using him if you wish...

Just trying to do my homework before I spend money - thanks to all those of you that reply - we help keep each other informed - John18D

mm, i think about it. i dont want to stand on his side, really not. but on the other hand, he is not scammer, he send you the models. he is just not packing them and thus saving costs. my point is that i already received more packages from not HK seller but US and from trusted private seller packed the same way..

I've bought from happyrobotstore. Models come in good condition, packaging..well... not so great. Moderate shipping time.

I haven't bought from happyrobotstore yet but have been quite close. Did so from bboykorea in the past without any problems at all.

This is what I received from him. Other than kit box everything is OK, chassis and clear parts were wrapped in that bubble plastic thing.

Yah, that's pretty much how mine looked like when I ordered from his other alias (rccrsarahdc2009). Others have mentioned they've opted for the extra box but I wasn't even offered that or wasn't even mentioned in the item description. My box was smashed and my cowling (ordered an MP4/4) was cracked. Had to go through paypal, not the seller to get a refund.

Call me old fashioned but it should be well packed to begin with. If I'm paying the $$ I want my model kit box to be in good condition. It's not supposed to be used as a shipping box!

It's kind of mind boggling that ebay continues to let him sign up for more ebay accounts despite his sketchy track record. Probably due to the fact that the ebay fees he generates is good $$ for them.

Too bad there isn't a way to block or omit searches that include sellers from Hong Kong.

If you receive your merchandise in good condition, consider yourself lucky! If not, or worse yet if you don't receive it at all, consider yourself warned, this guy is a nightmare to deal with! Not worth the hassle! DISHONEST SELLER!
