I have a 2000 Malibu that I have recently replaced the factory stereo with a new sony stereo. Since then I now have no tail lights or instrument panel lights. My check vehicle light is now on as well.. help, im sorry if this is a newbie question but im stuck..ive checked several fuses but do not know which ones would be relevant for me to check. please send any suggestion or help, I would greatly appreciate it..

Most likely you blew the Park Lamp Fuse. It is in the underhood electrical center. Fuse #45. It is 15 Amp minifuse. That would be enough to turn on Service Vehicle Soon indicator since the Body computer would be able to sense the fuse being open.

What happens if you replace the fuse and it keeps blowing?
