Re: 1992 Honda Accord Power Window
Each window motor is fused in the main fuse control box under the hood. If the motor is not starting, check the fuse. WD40 is not the lube of choice for the window channels. It is a petroleum product and will make the channel rubber sticky. Recommend a silcone spray lube would be better. Of course if you got water inside the door, you could have block of ice that would prevent the motor from moviing the window.

Re: 1992 Honda Accord Power Window
After some examination upon removal of the door panel, I discovered that the window would go down slowly. With the panel removed and the window partially down, I could see that the steel cable that pulls the window up and down was extremely frayed (by looking down inside from the top). The frays would not normally be an issue, but the cable retracts into a female cable cover; with the frays in it, it was restricting the movement inward. What I did was clip about one-third of of the worst cable strands with some narrow dikes, and pulled them out best i could. I was able to get the window up with a little pull from my hand and by pushing the elec. button @ the same time. The window is up and all the switches that used to control the window are now covered with tape, in case I ever have any passengers who decide to roll my window down, including me.
Sincerely, Hope I could help Broke Joke ruffin it in Grizzly country |

Re: 1992 Honda Accord Power Window
Please help! My drivers power window went down an inch or 2 then would stop and make a grinding sound. Now it won't go down at all and there is no sound when I press on the button. Is this a Motor problem OR a Regulator problem??
