most mr2 turbos are under 10,000 unless it has less than 100,000 miles or it is highly modified... trust me, its not very hard to find one for that much

Re: best 4banger under 10k

my concern is reliability....

obviously a gsr in the 100k mile range will last longer than a mr2 with 100k or more

Re: best 4banger under 10k

i dunno how the feck my friend got his.. but a 93 mr2 turbo for 5500! ASSHOLE!! Leather, ttops.. ah man it's sweet.. 5 speed.. i've never been in car that can take 90 degree turns at 45mph. BTW.. something much different that the other cars mentioned.. the engine is located in the middle giving much better equilibrium and the car is rear wheel drive. Bad thing about those cars is that tires go out after 15-20000 miles.. no matter what kind u put on

btw my friend bought his with 53k miles!

Re: best 4banger under 10k

I say a 1g eclipse gsx or awd Talon for around 3kish . spend those extra $$$ on mods and youll have a nice rocket in no time. I dont know about an mr2 but the gsx is an easy 12 sec car with 2k in mods. Before you rant, dont forget you only paid 3k MAX for the car, ive seen afew 92 gsxes with 80,000 miles on em running $1800. Not trying to say that just because I own a dsm, but the already equipt 14b in the light weight awd 1gen has gotten into the low 12's with bolt ons(this matters based on how tuned the car is). So weigh your options buy the mr2 may your first death be to a dsm hehe kidding.
