My best time on my 98 SH with the only mods being a Greddy EVO exaust is 16.1 @87 mph. That was with a sorry launch and poor shifting into second. Im pretty sure with a good launch and smooth shifting i could pull a 15.9.

Thats wicked- who did your head? Thanks for sharing, I would love to do a motor build close to that, but I am headed down the FI road because of price, convienience, and removability.

My best time with my SS with only an AEM CAI was a 16.8. This was during a muggy day and I still didn't have the shifts just right...I have since added a thermal exhaust...I ran on g-tech before exhaust and it being muggy and ran consistent 16.5's. Now I run consistent 16.1's and 16.2's.

1/4 mile, s. 15.40

thats from car and driver (note the C&D)

also, here is a question.. mabye someone can help
I just bought a g-tech, and its supposed to be only 1/100th off on 0-60 times, and 1/10th off on quater mile times

I just tested it out last night, 0-60 (3 tries) i got a 6.70 6.71 and 6.55
then for 1/4th i got a 14.88 on my only run..

We also tested it out with my friends crx and another friends integra
16.41 and 16.55

Both of them said thier numbers were just like @ the track.
I have never run my lude at the track, but i thought 14.88 seemed a little fast for a stock lude with only an AEM CAI

i also have another friend that used a g-tech while running at the track, and when the g-tech gave him a 12.3, he ran a 12.2

so make me happy and tell me i have a super lude?!

thanks!
My car ran a 14.9 with only a short ram intake...

people need to remember that 1/4 mile times vary due to so many different conditions and driver ability. and everybody makes such a big deal over it.. a 15.1 and a 15.9 is less then one second difference... wheelspin, temperature, humidity, nervousness, pavement, shifting, tire condition, etc etc make all the difference at the track.

15.2 @ 93 mph...the track i ran at was 75/80 Dragway in Maryland...slightly uphill believe it or not..and i was on my 40,000+ mile street tires...launching could have used some improving tho..and my tires didn't grip too well...

me and a friend of mine did the top end... he let me watch as he worked the art of polishing and throating. he tried to follow the pics and details posted on Endyn as best he could. i did the intake myself to see how i could do.

the bottom end was done by us also, but the balancing was done at Kittlers down here in Louisiana... as they have the machines to do it right.

saved myself over $1200 in just labor alone.

The difference in the track time and the G-tech is that the G-tech starts timing once you move. The track doesn't time you until you trip the lights. Unless you stage deep the beem at the back of the front tire, your car will roll at least 6inches before the timer starts. Also 0.2sec is about a full car length in the quarter. I haven't run my Prelude yet but I haven't been beat by any other Prelude I've raced. I think I gotta good one. Last time I ran my 89 Accord it ran a 16.1 at 87mph.

oh i run 15.9 @ 85 mph before weight reduction. still room to improvement on excelleration. i have exhaust, plug wires, strut bar, ludespeed intake. and now about 100lbs worth of weigh reduction.
HAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!! are u KIDDING ME?? You run a 15.9 and claim you can beat 5TH Gens?? ROFLMAO. And whoever's running only a 15.1 with a B16A in a fully gutted civic hatch can't drive!! I ran a 15.2 @ 93 with I/H/E in my 5th Gen and that's with a crappy launch on a hot day.. I'm only a semi-average driver...I know of good drivers who have done 14.8s and 14.9s in stock 5th Gens...get your story straight buddy. Make it clear next time that when you're "beating" 5th gens...you're "beating" STOCK AUTOs with bad drivers..and I don't even think that's possible..sorry..

15.3@91.21mph...60' ET 2.230. Could've ran faster with a better 60', and if I ran in my stockies. Haven't ran mine with the pulleys yet. Another friend of mine in another board ran 13.7 on his 4th gen VTEC, all-motor.

Nope. That would be VeeTec. He used to have a 4th gen Prelude VTEC. As his sig on PO.com says, "93 Prelude VTEC N/A (lots of mods) 13.79@100.7". It was all-motor.

I thought JG Luder had a turbo or something.
