#19R is here in the USA now and has been refitted with the LARK livery that it wore in 1997 at the 1000kms of Suzuka race. It may be owned by a gentleman named Kevin Crowder, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. Search this forum for Hudson Historics and you should find a good set of photos of it in it's present condition.

#19R was not the Yellow Corn car, though there were several references to that chassis number in the Hitotsuyama Racing literature and often the car was given that reference number in race listings. The Yellow Corn GTR turned out to be chassis #25R.

#19R raced alongside the Yellow Corn GTR in the JGTC series for several years under the Nicos and SOK liveries. You may be familiar with those. It stopped racing at the end of 2003 I believe, and was sent to the factory for its refit to the LARK livery before coming to the USA via Symbolic Motors.

The Team Davidoff liveried GTR was GTR #22R. It also raced under the Loctite livery at the 1998 LeMans race and spent some time in the GTR Euro Series in 1998. It is difficult to find photos of it in the Black/Red livery. In 1997 it was one of the Gulf/Davidoff GTRs. I don't think anyone really knows where that car ended up.

The info you offer on #16R is weel known by those of us here. In fact, one of the employees at Maranello Motorsport has made a few recent contributions to the discussion directly.

thanks for the info. i have a few picture of 019r in its current livery, i didnt know if those were current though, i am familiar with the sok/nicos liveries as well. as for the gulf/davidoff/loctite/emi car the last owner i know of was thomas bscher, meaning he probably still owns it. as for the 016r reference, sorry im new to this forum as of today and obviously need to catch up on my recent mclaren f1 history, as i am a huge fan of these cars and their racing history, ive already spent hours reading these threads, lol

Maybe he still owns it...

I don't believe this GTR ever carried EMI sponsorship though. That would be #24R which was owned and driven by Steve O'Rourke in the later part of it's career. We learned recently that Rowan Atkinson owns that GTR now and it wears its original FINA livery again.

Sweet photo!!!

I think he might be specifically looking for the shots of this car when it was not wearing the Davidoff or Dayoff sponsorship. The car is almost completely black in those photos with only the red lines to set it off, and just a few remaining sponsor decals.

You know, since that car wore that race number at LeMans in 1998, I wonder if those shots were taken at LeMans qualifying. Never really crossed my mind before.

See Peloton I told you that this was the car that TVRFreak saw in the factory.

thats the car all right, it ran in the fia gt series in 1998. i watched all of the races on speed chaneel which was speedvision at that time, of course they condensed the races to a 1 hour showing instead of the full 3-4 hour enduro. it wore the davidoff sponsorship decals like in the first pic, great pics, thanks! oh yeah and that parabolica car in the photo album looks like 019r with the lark sponsorship removed and parabolica added. the lark 019r and the 1998 davidoff car are my 2 favorite liveries. by the way anyone know the chassis #? should be the same as the loctite car for the 1998 24 hours of le mans

Exclamation

More pictures straight out of Japan, from the Zent Amusement Zone or ZAZ museum.

The following are taken last August 2005 and show LM2 and #053.
Also some other models, for the ones that like to keep a complete record of the ZAZ museum. I hope the big administrator allows it

#053

LM2

Both

Enzo and F40GTE

The next ones are from 1996, scans of analogue images. Not the nicests around, but at least proof of #018 having been there in previous years. Of course, LM2 and the burgundy GT are also present.

Enjoy!

Looks like just two in the most recent photos - LM2 and #053. The GT isn't visible.

#018 hasn't been there for a while - since at least late 1999. We know #13R is no longer there either.

I have put up the first post of this thread as a actual overview of what we think is in Japan. I try to update it frequently.

As Peloton mentions, it seems to be 2 at the moment.

And speaking of 13R...were these known already?

What are we looking at in the third pic? What's on the end of the engine? Throttle linkages?

I had those three - and yes, that is the throttle linkage. That shot was taken through the grill on the back of the car looking into the engine bay at the back of the motor. Definitely a cool photo.

Looks like Japan is the place to be on November 6th, 2005.

CG Club - Autumn Meet 2005

Can anyone make it?

= = = = = =

Those last three images of #13R were taken at a CG Club event actually.

From the images at that link, it would also appear that #053 made an appearance in an issue of Car Graphic recently. I'll have to keep my eyes open for that one.

Nah, those two women are not really my type (and no, neither is the guy) :P

What do you say? Cars? Well, I don't really like white cars. Red cars however I think are nice.

>on-topic< I don't think I'll be there, but I will be sure to notify my contact to go there.

Might be a good chance to see it outside and possibly running.

This F1 road car has a windshield banner like the GTRs have. An oddity. Chassis number unknown.

It's been mentioned before as speculation in the original thread where I posted these photos, but I just wanted to get it on the record here. The original owner of this car is indeed supposed to have been Motakazu Sayama - the owner of "Ueno Clinic", and the one responsible for #01R even being at the 24Hrs of LeMans in 1995.

Also, even though none of the road cars on the DA Chassis History poster are clearly listed as having been painted this way, I am told that this was the original look of the car when it first left the McLaren Cars factory.

Given the dates when my source said it would have been built, I am inclined to believe this car may be chassis #043, listed as having been painted "Black Metallic". Maybe someday we will know for sure.

Re: Recap of Japanese F1 fleet

Looks like 28R to me, but DAMN that is an amazing collection. I wonder if the owner drives the cars. Probably not unforunately.

Edit: Could that be the CLK LM that was for sale on CarClassic.com a few years back?
