What would this be! I respectfully admit I can't believe this!

Anyway..I prefer pastes!

My two favorites are:

P21S Concours Wax...

Oh this stuff is dreamy...easy on, easy off, no waiting to buff, won't stain trim and the reflectivity is amazing!

The next is and save the best for last:

Pinnacle Souveran...

Got a black or red or yellow car (or just dark for that matter)..give this a try..and call 911 before you apply it, cause it is going to take your breath away and stop your heart! Incredible Wax! So creamy and smooth..goes on and off like butter and the depth it adds to dark colors is un-freakin-believable!

Re: liquid or paste wax

i am in favor of paste...yeah it sucks goin into a jar, but i always find that the paste wax applications seem to outlast the liquids...this could be due to poor liquid waxes but i dont really care.

The liquid sealant is called Pearl Guard with a proper aplication it will last for 10 years or more so long as it is washed properly after. You apply it simply by hand with a wax application pad. I get it from a franchise that provides warranties for protection packages they say its not available to the general public. They also have a powerfull auto paint conditioner that lasts years too. www.info@pro-tecseal.com if that link doesnt work try looking up Pro-Tec Seal Manufacturing. Ask them about the sealants and compounds they carry.

Re: liquid or paste wax

Any one ever heard of La Cera Amirella? Its an easy on carnuba with a teflon fortifier in it , you soak a pad with it and simply apply it evenly over the paint let it dry and take it off. It looks awesome after but lasts only weeks. Carnueba wax is organic and breaks down (decomposes) so it doesnt last very long , the synthetics I use are hardcore expensive and are generally used with a high speed polisher. Another line up of compounds is the Production Auto paint care system , its synthetic as well and is considered comercial grade but I find it last only months to a year if your lucky. Im lucky that I found such an effective line of synthetics.

respectfully i also can't believe it. 10 years! if it's not available to the general public, then how do you get it? i would pay you for a sample of it for maybe one application to try it. i would love to see something stand up to the harsh ohio winters, & to date nothing does, at least for a long period of time.........

Re: liquid or paste wax

Usually every liquid wax has some surfactants which will act as a "cleaner" would. This however does not make liquid wax a CLEANER WAX. When layering a liquid wax, generally, it is best to apply by hand. A machine applied second or third layer may take off a bit more of the wax already on the vehicle.

Selent Waxes or Polymers such as Liquid Souveran and Meguiar's NXT have a cleaning action. Much more prevelent in NXT(as it was designed so) than LS (more of a byproduct of being a liquid selant) Both excellent products.

Any Paste, which by nature has a more "pure" base of carnuba has virtually no surfactants or cleaning agents. (of course unless put there by the manufacturer.)

Which one is best? Which ever one you like is the best answer. When using a machine application, I much prefer the liquid variety. When using a paste, hand is my preferable method of application.

Technique is far more important than the product used.
