should i buy a high mileage 92 integra GS hatchback?

Hi, I'm looking to buy my first car and someone is offering me a 1992 Integra GS Hatchback. The only problem (seemingly) is the high mileage, around 172,000 miles. Price is $2300 but negotiable. I'm not much of a car person, just a student who needs a car for college. What should I do?

172K is not really high mileage to a Honda. Just don't beat it up or race it at all and you will be fine. The 2G integra is a VERY nice car, it's my favorite integra and I wish I had the money to get one. If you can get it for 2 grand its a good deal. Even 2200 isn't bad at all. If you go test drive it, have the person selling it start it when it's not warmed up, you stand in the back by the tailpipe and see if any smoke comes out. Black is OK as long as it's not a lot. Blue is not so good but OK if not very much, if it's white than scrap it.
