99 rodeo with light knock after warm up
Hi I have a 99 rodeo with a light knock after warm up it sounds like it is coming from the bottom end it is loundest when you are under the engine or standing on the side by the front wheels when you give it gas you don't hear it that much. I have checked the timing belt tenioner and it does not seem to be making the noise. I have removed the engine and checked the rod bearings just looked at have not check the clearace yet. I did feel some side to side movement where rods connect to the crank do not know how much is ok. I am thinking about replacing the rod and main bearing but do not want to have to pull the engine again. Any thoughts on what I should do thanks
