Lint!!

I have a badger 175 airbrush, and when I paint bodies, Little lint particles are thrown onto the body as well...Its really annoying...does this happen to anyone else?

Yeah, I totally cleaned the body and airbrush...

I am going to prime the body this time and try again..

You never mentioned the location when you paint, it could be a big factor, I don't spray inside the house, so I try choose a location where there is little or no wind and relatively clean :smoker2:

Hmm...I could try my garage...I'm worried about doing it in the yard, as wind could stick stuff to it...my garage or basement has no wind and little to no dust...Thanks guys!

It's gonna be difficult to get all of this paint off...I had 1 coat, tried to take it off with thinner, most of it came off except some extremly thin patches...You think this will hurt it? Or does ALL of the paint need to be off?

your best bet is paint it in your garage, rather than your basement. cuz you need good air circulation, so you won't end up

and the paint can cure properly.

btb when washing your kit wash it with dishwashing soap and let it air dry.

I have a 175 Crescendo and it is an excellent airbrush, there must be something else happening. What kind of paint and about what air pressure are you spraying. There is nothing in the airbrush that would cause that.

I believe lint or dust or cat hair got caught in the bottle and paint by accident...I cleaned it well, it doesn't seem like it's doing it anymore.

It *usually* doesn't have to do with where you are spraying but
how far you are spray...

Depending on how much you have thinned the paint and the airpressure you are using, one of the most common problems people have(though i haven't...odd, but i've had my share of others) is that the paint already dries before it hits the surface which results in semi-wet paint getting it with dust like paint.

What i find best is to thin the paint with normal rubbing(75-99%)alcohol so that it seems like milk, if you're not sure what thats like, go to the fridge, get some milk and pour some into the shot glass

, when you thin the paint, poke your stirring stick in and out of it then do it in the milk...if it's the same reaction then your golden.

And i usually spray a forearms length away from the object. (sorry, i don' know the psi i use off hand)
