Oil level sensor

Check engine oil level light just came on on my 2000 Tahoe 4x4 4.8l. I checked the level and it is at the line (full upper line). Could this be a problem with the oil level sensor? I just had my started replaced. Is this sensor near the starter and may have been unplugged? Is it safe to drive, the oil pressure is reading normal?

Thanks

Re: Oil level sensor

It is fine to drive since the pressure is good and you know the level is fine. The sensor is in the side of the oil pan but I am not sure what side and too lazy to look on mine; however, most likely the sensor was unplugged (or damaged) when the starter was installed.
