57 Buick Century Cabalero
I have a 57 Century that only has 57000 on the clock, but that is my problem. The speedo is the roller barrel type that increases red the faster you go. The problem is. it is stuck at about 20 mph. I have searched all over the net trying to find someone to repare this, and as of yet, found no one. Does anyone have a source they know about?

The old mechanical speedo is a surprisingly simple device. Chances are you may be able to remove it and, if you are very careful, take a look and see where the barrel is binding or sticking and repair it.
Otherwise, check to see if you have a local clock/watch repair shop. Sometimes they can repair other instruments like speedos, barometers, metronomes etc. |
