Demon possessed keyless entry
When i shut off my Pathfinder, there is a clicking noise under the dashboard and the doors lock and unlock on their own. Then when I get out, I try to lock the door with my fob and the doors lock and then unlock all by itself!! It never happens while the engine is running. I reset the keyless fob by putting the key in the ignition (as stated on another thread). The hazard lights came on just like the instructions said, which confirmed the reset, but the doors still unlock themselves. The local dealer is quoting $60 per hour just to look at it, so I would like to avoid that if possible. What other things can I do to fix this thing?

Re: Demon possessed keyless entry
Hi, i would see if you can trace the clicking noise. it could be the central locking unit or just a loose relay conector. The most common problem is one of the door motors suck causing the doors to open again. to check this lock the car with the fob and check each door lock in turn. you may find that one of them is not locking, and thus interfering with the rest.

Re: Demon possessed keyless entry
You can try to open the remote & use a toothbrush to clean off the contacts on the circuit board.
It sounds like you have a remote with a dirty contact that keeps sending the lock/unlock signal.
