Question 92 Legend - ABS lite stuck on, won't pass inspection

I live in Virginia, which is passing increasingly strict inspection laws every year. The ABS light on the dash has been stuck on for YEARS and now it won't pass inspection. The brakes work fine and always have. I took it to an Acura dealership in the DC Metro area and they wanted almost $2800.00 to fix the system. I'm not sure the "system" needs to be fixed and that perhaps I was being scammed because I'm female. Other people have talked about "micro chips" that need to be replaced which may cause the light to stick on (which would only cost a couple hundred bucks).

Am I being scammed for $2800.00? Is there another way to turn this wretched light off so my car will pass inspection? I can't sink $2800 into a car with a Blue Book of less than $6K

HELP?!?!?!?!?!?

PS: I LOVE MY CAR!!!! Still runs like the day I bought it.

Re: 92 Legend - ABS lite stuck on, won't pass inspection

I had a similar problem with my 92. ABS light stuck on. Problem was stuck relay. A few taps on the relay fixed my problem. Relay located in fuse box under hood on drivers side near fender well.

I Have the same problem

I took in to the dealer and told me that it was a sensor and would cost me a couple hundred bucks but I did not bother because it does not interfere with nothing..
