95 Prism Brakes

My mom owns a 95 Geo Prism. Her brakes stopped working. She was out of brake fluid. My dad refilled the brake fluid. The brakes are still not stopping the car correctly. Would new brakes and rotors solve this probem? They found no leaks. Anyone have any ideas or know where I can get some info?

Thanks!

providing all the fluid you father added is still prersent, [no leaks] and the fluid didn't get so low as to suck air into the system, I'd say that you are due for both rotors and pads. If you do it yourself.. all should cost under $70.00 Make sure you do both wheels.

PS: The "BRAKE" warning light on the dash should have illuminated in a low fluid situation

Re: 95 Prism Brakes

You have a leak somewhere. Does your brake booster look wet? It could be leaking at the reak of the master cylinder.
