got some ?s about what i need to enter...

i want to enter my car in an auto-x event that is coming up on august 6-7. i'm 16 and know i need a waiver, and to pre-register when the time comes. my local scca site (www.scca-odr.org) says that it's $20 for a non SCCA member to participate, so i dont think i need a membership. is there anything i should know/be aware of since im completely new to this?

thanks!

the event im going to is 2 days, im not entirely sure i could make it the second day... are the completely factory stock(aside from tires) classes usually run first?

your car will run in F-Stock class, the website should have a schedule telling you when that class will run. You may also run in Novice class if that region has one (website not working). All you need are your license and waiver. You should also bring some water and a hat or sunscreen and a tire pressure gauge. You will also need a way to put numbers on your car. What I like to do is print them out on paper and tape them to the car with packing tape. You will also need to clean the car out of all loose objects, so take as much out at home as you can so you don't have a giant pile of junk in your pit stall.

drdisque hit on most of the important stuff, i'd suggest checking the autoX faq on the main solo racing forum here.

you'll probably want to bring food, water, and a chair as well.

their website on myautoevents said that all classes run both days and that for those competing for championship points have their times added and the class results are compiled. So you can choose to run the day which suits you best or you think will have the best weather.

It looks like registration is early in the morning. I wouldn't miss that if I were you.

I remember the first time I autocrossed my camaro. I've been told that the camaro is a hard car to drive properly. Comparing it to other cars I've autocrosssed. I'd definitely agree with that.

As most people said every region and club is different. If in doubt always email or call the Autocross Chairperson. But good luck and have fun! Read my autocross help page below to get you started on your 1st event
