Re: What is your Z used for?
im not exactly sayin anyone is talkin smack about dragracing though but some ppl have said and do say that it takes no skill, but id love to see 90% of thoseguys actully try to get their promod, or superstocker license, i know that racing streetlight to streetlight in a stock Z and a pretty prelude doesnt take much skill, especially w/o the tree and beeds, but u gatta give real drag racing some credit, next time a 7.3 sec c4 vette leaves the line with u literaly 2 feet away youll know what i mean

Re: What is your Z used for?
now im not saying that drag racing doesn't take skill, i know it takes skill, but racing around a track takes more skill. and also, whats that fun of going straight and then stopping, it is a lot funner going around corners.

Re: What is your Z used for?
Without starting a flame war, both racing takes skill.... Really niether takes more skill than another. It just takes a different kind of skill. Thats like saying NASCAR drivers have less skill than F1 drivers (I am a HUGE F1 Fan and could careless about NASCAR), but its not true. you have to figure in that NASCAR drivers are going around 180-200MPH in a 3000lb car with 43 other drivers on the track thats barely 2 miles long on average. F1 drivers drive about the same distance as a NASCAR driver but they do it in a car that weighs almost a third as much but with more power and more down force. Both take a GREAT deal of skill but both are completely different skills. NHRA vs Lamans, once again T- Totaly different skills different cars, different worlds. Dont try and compare the to or even argue which is better, its all a matter of what skills you have and what you are best suited for. See myself I am built like a NASCAR driver, short overwieght and happy most of the time. But I love the turns, so I stick to GT style circuits and turning wrenches. After all thats what I am best suited for and where MY skills lie. Sometimes I wish I was born in a racing family in Europe so I could take a shot at the WRC or the F1 but it didnt happen that way, instead I was born into a military family that didnt have alot so I had to make do with dreaming big and then making them come true on my own. One day I MAY be in the WRC, or F1 but not as a driver probly as a team mechanic or even a team boss, but thats a big dream and its a LONG LONG way away.
So nomatter what your dreams are, MAKE them happen, if this means building a sick looking Z then do it, if this means being the fastest Z in the world (Like Albert is shooting for) then DO IT. "Dont dream it, Be it." - Dr. Frankenfurter, Rocky Horror Picture Show.
