PCV Location 3.3L Engine?
Hello Buick Community! Anyone know where the PCV is located on a 1991 Buick Century 3.3L? Yep, I've checked the schematic under the hood... ...but can't find anything that looks like the part, (which is: FRAM -- FV301; or, KEM -- PCV153; DEUTSCH -- PCV209; CHAMP -- PC146; WELLS/AMPCO -- PCV146.) If you know where a drawing/picture is online, etc., would appreciate. Thanks!

Re: Re: PCV Location 3.3L Engine?
Thanks Stoned_Pimp420... When I find out where the pcv/replace location is -- I'll happily post it. Tryin' to remember what year the PCV & related emissions equipment became law/requirement. Maybe wasn't required in 1991? Optional then?

I found out where the PCV valve is located on my 89 Century (3.3L). It is adjacent to the alternator. You have to lift up the alternator (easy) and you will see it on the back side of the valve cover. Hope this helps.

I just got through replacing the PCV valve and the pre-formed gromet and rubber hose @ the intake manifold in my 1990 Century - I agree removing one blot, losening the other and swinging the alternator out of the way makes thie job a lot easier.

a caution
When twisting and yanking out the brittle pcv valve hidden on rt side of intake manifold behind alt. don't repeat my mistake.Accidently tore the top grommet. The broken portion of the grommet that plugs into the plemum fell into the intake manifold and down into an intake valve chamber. Had to pull intake manifold and use a forcepts to extract it.

Re: PCV Location 3.3L Engine?
I've moved my alternator and still didn't find it. Is it that thing that goes into the front valve cover that just looks like a hose going into it? afterall my 1990 4.3L V6 along with every other engine I've seen it goes into the valve cover but if that's it on my car I can't get the dern thing out.

Re: Re: PCV Location 3.3L Engine?
On my 89 Century 3.3 the pcv valve is tucked on the rt (passenger) side of the intake manifold. It is down low--hard to see & reach because of the wires and the alternator. Definitely had to remove the alternator & move wires out of the way. But it's there, probably never replaced before, since it was so hard to get to. The hose coming out of the front valve cover connects to the throddle body (I seem to recall). It is does not have the pcv on this motor as it often is on others.

Re: PCV Location 3.3L Engine?
I can look in my haynes manual for it, but i dont guarantee anything because the v6 3.3 in there is a "typical" 3.3 and it looks like a for engine, completely different from the gm. But i will Look and post what i find for ya stoned_pimp
