overall opinion on the camaro ZL1
as you all know the ZL1 is a car for the gods and nothing less...why cant it just be produced!!???...i would love to just be able to drive this monster of a car once!!!..i had a chance to see it ,and it drove right by me at the all GM nationals in carlisle of last june...it rumbled so loud i could feel it in my heart....with a 572 making 770 horses...the only thing that could beat this is the hennessy viper 800r..with the 833 horses and 0-60 in 2.4 seconds...the ZL1 gets there in 2.7..not much of a difference...what do you think?

The ZL1 couldnt really be concidered a street car.
It takes high octane gas... I betcha with a drag race suspension, it would KILL the Viper. It's setup to road race, so 0-60 and 1/4mile times are greatly affected.

Same reason Ford won't build the Boss that kicked the ZL1's ass!

That's what I'm talking about also. Ford has a Boss based prototype. One of the car magizines (Road and Track, I think) had a little challenge between the two. The Boss, which has an even bigger, more powerful, engine then the ZL-1, was about 1/2 second faster in the 1/4 and rides on a Griggs Racing suspension.
