Can anyone tell me if the heater buttons on the dash are supposed to light up? Mine dont and i would think they should. if they are suposed to is there anyway short of replacing the switch, looks expensive.

Re: 94 suburban heater button lights
Hi,
you are right, they should light up so you can see what you are doing at night. I am trying to remember how it was on my 95 Suburban, but can't. My 01 YXL has a rotary heater control with tiny light bulbs soldered inside that I found at Radio Shack. That saved close to $200 for a new control. Pull out the dash surround and unscrew the heater control, open it up and look at it. There may be bulbs like in the radio with the wires coming out of the glass socket. Let me know, how it turns out. Take care, Eggert |

if its anything like my 95, pull the dash off, then use a scewdriver to pop the plastic clips. there should be about 4 lights that just pop out and replace.
good luck |
