who shifts at what speed?

im just curious to see how other people treat thier trucks, so who shifts what gear at what speed? (on average) and how often is it right at red-line? and if your wondeing why i ask, its for a couple reasons, but mainly to show people the difference between mini-truckers and rice-rockets, and so far most people in the rice rocket section(i beat my crx too) seem to really abuse thier cars (oh and im really easy on my truck, its like my baby)

well thanks for the info in advance

I've got a 92' B2600i and I seem to get the best mileage shifting between 3000 and 3500 RPM, while I get the best acceleration shifting between 3500 and 4000 RPM. Highest I've taken it is 4500, unless you count the time I lost traction in the rain while in first, it hit 5 grand that time. By the way, I'm a 23 year old male who builds and races Camaro's.

Re: who shifts at what speed?

well if there are no cops around i shift constantly at 6500 to 7 grand the motor has seen the highest part of the tach i think thats 8 grand, that was a mistake and if there are cops around then i baby it and shift it around 2500 to 3000. i know i beat the crap out of my truck but it handles it just fine so untill it blows thats how ill treat it
