I know what the code P1441 states, but where do I start to look for the problem? Vehicle starts fine and seems to run fine.

I know what the error code states, but don't know where to start looking.
The error code discription is not very helpful to me. |

Most common cause for evap sytem purge codes is a bad gas cap. There is a check valve in the gas cap that can stick open & allow the tank to blow down (no positive press in tank). The evap system needs pos press in the tank. A new cap is like $3 at any parts store.

The evaporative system, (charcoal box, hoses, solenoids, etc.) is under the rear of the truck, tucked above where the under-mounted spare tire goes. Check to make sure everything is connected, no cracked rubber tubing.
**Edit** reseating the cap may/may not have anything to do with this. If the check vlv is shot in the cap, it wont matter how tight you have it on, vapors will still leak thru the cap. G/luck Joel
