engine swap

I have a 95 honda civic cx with a 8 valve 1.5. Thinking about swapping a 16 valve 1.5 into the car. My questions are, will i need to change the ecm? How much more horsepower with the 16 valve engine. The engine will have a fresh rebuild with a couple of goodies. Is the swap worth the time?

do a search man. Theres so many options on what engines you can choose. Go to search and type in engine swaps.

Re: engine swap

Ok you're telling him to put an NSX engine in a civic hatchback! He'll lose handling. NSX and CIVICS are completely different. So you can't compare the 2 on handling. Motor has nothing to do with handling , just suspension. The only thing the motor will affect is his handling cause its heavy! You have cut the rear off and put the motor in the back. Its way too much work. He can just get himself a b-series motor and build that up into a fast ass car.
