Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

I've never played the previous versions, but am wondering if anyone else has played it. I'm from Australia and we get charged AU$3 a card & AU$3 a game. Works out to be US$4.75 a pop.

Currently using Bunta's WRX Type-R and noticed it doesn't actually upgrade aesthetically but upgrades other performance mods. Does anyone know how to get points more easier or if the arcade has been hacked or the card system hacked? I only got my first upgrade at 10000pts but still got thrashed by Zack but beat the 1st 3 easily. And its almost too real. You don't even bounce off barriers and retain speed, you just lose speed easily and the car tends to drift alot too.

I know different cars are best suited to different tracks but wondering which one is the best all-rounder. Buntas is excellent but I want one that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well as easy to handle. Also wondering, how come Veilside isn't included in the Course Parts?? I'm disappointed.

Re: Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

ok !!! to answer this i need full concentration !!! HMMM........

ok first where the hell are u playing, i sydney its onli $2 a game and $2 for a card.

the bunta wrx type r is a cheat to get, rite ? so there wouldn't be any part changes for it onli tuning and maintainence but its got good acceleration, especially if u dun crash. so if u are playing against zack try to use more brakes, dun jus let go of the gas and u should be smooth sailing.

For earier points it also challenge people win and then legends of the street (LOTS) more. HA double points with 1 play. but the LOTS is the fastest way to get points especially with harder characters.

Best all round dry is no doubt the capp, and wet i think is the r32

Re: Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

As of a few days ago, the RX-8 has taken the lead for both...but I prefer the Bunta Car as an all-rounder, the RX-8 is hard to use

Re: Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

yeah rx8 doesn't hold as many home course stages as the capp and in battle the gdb is still better... not bad cornering + very fast start-up + big, not as big as the 34 though but big enough to block on shomaru. rx8 is best overall in the game though... for a well rounded car.

This arcade I goto charges 1$ admission. 1$ a card .75 cents a game and 50 cents to continue. Best Initial D prices ever.

Re: Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

All our damn Ver. 3 here in Vegas are $1.00 a game, $1.00 a card, $1.00 a continue.

Getting back on topic, I think the GC8V is the best starter car in the game. The RX-8 is better overall, but much more difficult to use. The eight-vee handles excellently and is pretty predictable.

Re: Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

Haha, dude what're you talking about? The car with the fastest start of in ver. 3 is my next car. The Roadster, Miatas earned my love when I seen Tohru rippin through the mountain passes in fourth stage.

That was the craziest thing in Initial D. I cant wait till the next two episodes are played in Japan. And when i get the chance and money Imma get my Miata Roadster and let you people know whats happening.

Re: Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

starter car = NOT the car with a fast start-up a good practice or learning car to drive in initial-d. even though i disagree, the best training car is the trueno. give someone an underpowered car, if they can make it go fast they can make ANY car in id go fast.

blah miata roadster, i'd rather have an rx.

Re: Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

Lol Dont hate on the roadster. The miata is alot more powerful then you think. The RX? Ew That car is the Integ of ver. 3
That and the EVO's

Whats up with this game!? Its unbalanced! I think they focused on the Legend of the Street mode. They were probably thinking we cant give this car all these advantages here and dissadvantages here. That would make the game too hard for crappy people!

Re: Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

well the rx7 i was talking about not the rx8. and they really focused on time attack this time around, if you hit one wall your acceleration is gone for almost the whole run.

Re: Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

Oh crap. I didnt even know that. See, Im learning something new everyday! Haha. So dont hit walls and I'll do better off. Gotcha. Only one way to hit a wall going to fast. So I just to slow down. Man I just realized Tak sucks. Haha I mean its koo they made him beatable but hes easy! So is Keisuke. They should make there times at least a couple seconds faster.

RX8s

Even the makers of the game say that the RX8 is the best overall car on the game but not many people know how to drive one right, because of the 6 speed in it you have an awesome fifth gear that is unreal, with that car you have a weak enter speed in the curve and great exit speed. And anyway if you want to know the best cars in the game if you have the right driver it will be the Evo III Opition A and the MR2 G-Limited Opition A.

i'd like to see where the makers say the rx-8 is the best... as far as i'm concerned they really haven't released info about anything about the actual physics of the game. its really been on behalf of the initiald.org people who bring us the top ranked cars.

not to mention in battle rx8 has huge flaws, the gdb in my opinion, is better than the rx8. faster start up + tighter lines = death for rx8. and no, evo 3 and mr2 are definitely NOT the best cars in the game. you should head over to initiald.org if you think that's the case. not to mention options really don't make a huge difference.

Re: Initial D: Ver3 - newbie

Actually the RX-8 is obviously a really good car. But, like all god cars it has its limits. Even people that get really good with them cant get record breaking times all the time. Like today.

Raced an RX-8 on AK DH. He whooped me, but I was right behind him everystep of the way. It was crazy. Cuz i had raced him once before and he owned me from the start. I got an awesome start did everything right. Even f'in feinted at the right times on the first second and third turns. Then the second hairpin i messed up and slowed down a little too much against anyother v.3 driver it wouldnt have messed me up that much but this kid practically lives on the machine!! I was proud to lose by 50m It shows im getting better.
