Cruise control- 1995.5 Rodeo
At freeway speeds, my cruise control seems jerky. It doesn't seem to be able to hold a constant speed. The car slows down about 3 - 5 miles per hour then jams the throttle on to make up for the lost speed. It is not smooth at all. Maybe the problem is as simple as a cable needing lubrication, I don't know.
Is the cruise control on your car smooth or is it an inherent problem with the Rodeo? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks, Dale |

Mine does this sometimes too. I hardly ever use the CC so I havn't been hot to trot to fix it. So, if anyone knows what the deal is, it would be nice to fix it.

See my post Electrical Mayhem II...no solutions to your problem though.
My cruise works with the headlights off. I can be running down the highway with cruise and as soon as I turn the headlights on....the cruise drops out. This is on top of other problems like failure of of intermittant wipers and a beeping brake pedal. I hope my Maintenance CD arrives soon. My 90 Isuzu pickup was the most trouble free, reliable vehicle I ever owned. That's why I bought a Rodeo. I have had absolutely no problems with it for 4 years and now it looks as though everything hit at once. |
