Protecting the rear bumper

I bought my wife a 2002 Venture for Xmas. She will be usinig it for dog shows. It has a painted bumper and I fear the dogs nails will scratch the paint.

My Blazer has a rubberized step bumper and I am wondering if there is an aftermarket or dealership covering I can put on the top of the rear bumper to protect the paint?
