13B RE Cosmo into 1988 GXL

Is this swap possible and is it plausible. What would be the end price and what exactly would need to be done?

Its been done. There is a website that sells the adapters to get the engine into the car. You'll need an ECU of some sort a lot of people are going Microtec.

Try these websites out.

www.nopistons.com - they have a great engine swap forum with lots of info
http://www.fc3s.org/ - this site sells the mounting adapters to do it.

Its quite a job but the 13B-RE is an awesome engine. There is a post somewhere on NoPistons where someone disassembled both engines and compared the ports. The RE is clearly a better engine over the 13B-REW that I have. Where was that post a year ago. LOL, Hindsight its beutiful thing.
