A Very Ambitious Diorama Project (someone steal this idea from me and do it well)

This is something I'd love to build someday, but would not be able to with my current space limitations...

I'd like to build up a 1/24 scale Laguna Seca Corkscrew. It'd be a slice right off the track, like this:

Anyone who's played GT2 or 3 knows what I'm sayin'! :smoka: It's like driving on a roller coaster, or down a stairwell...

For the most part, it'd be like building a paper mache mountain for a train layout... But, where could I find a fairly decent elevation map for it so I could make some plans?

Any ideas?

Whoa I like the idea! Probably by the time you finish enough cars for it, you'll be done with that piece of the track!

you know what i was also thinking about making a diorama of the Corkscrew turn too, but it wouldnt look exactly right with JGTC machines on the track.

You never know, because a US promoter has recently visited JGTC organizer for a possible race in the U.S. as early as 2004.
Since all major manufacturers are selling their cars in the U.S., plus, it will help those parts manufacturers to promote their brands, I think it's worth it.
