Gary (or anyone)... Rebound setting on my new konis? New springs?
Ok... got the new shocks, hubs, and speedo sensor in today... thanks Gary
![]() Also, upon reading the info on the shocks there are 4 rebound settings, a zero point, then 3 "clicks" to the right (clockwise). I know jack shit about shock tuning so what do I put these on if I'm running 550lb fronts and 350lb rears? Thanks, Brian

Here's Gary's response on shock setting for anyone curious:

Re: Gary (or anyone)... Rebound setting on my new konis? New springs?
Brian;
That's exactly the same rebound setting I set up on the shocks. Gary's logic made good sense to me, and sounded like a good starting point. As for the shock lengths, my rears are longer than the front too. I assume the free spring length is 10". Look at where the threaded collar is held on the shock body by the c-clip. In the rear the collar seats against the c-clip that is 3" lower on the shock body than on the front shock. I think this is how the longer shock is accomodated. Hope that makes sense.

Re: Gary (or anyone)... Rebound setting on my new konis? New springs?
I didn't take the spring all the way off the shcok body to adjust the rebound. I loosened un the nut on the collar until the spring was free (no compression). I used a small screw driver to pop of the dust cap. I could get my finger on the button, and make the needed adjustment by rotating the shaft of the shock.
This saves a little time if you already have the springs on the shocks (like if you want to do it at the track). It is easier to make the adjustment with the spring off the shock.
