Draft: do you think it could happen?

Well I've heard many opinions on the possible 05 draft. Lot's of people say it could never/just wouldn't happen and some people seem to think it's a real possiblity. I haven't thought about it much because I choose not to..I'm the perfect age and meet all the criteria to get drafted into some fucking war that I don't even beleive in.. And I'm not really blaming the Bush administration or anything..just the whole situation is really dumb, we don't belong off in all these little countries. One of my old friends from highschool just left for IRAQ and I talked to him before he left and he doesn't even beleive we should be over there. And it's also a scary thought because my brother is also the right age if there was to be a damn draft.. what are your guys thoughts on this?

It doesn't matter if he beleive he should be there or not. He has a job to do. He does the job. If he doesn't like, leave when his enlistment expires.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD - THERE IS NO DRAFT! THERE IS NO PLAN FOR A DRAFT! A few wacked out democrats in congress brought up the topic because they wanted more rich kids in the service. There is no bill on the floor of the Senate. There is no bill on the floor in the House. There is no support to instituting a draft.

This same subject comes up every election year. Next time bring up the equally likely scenario of moving the retirement age to 45.
