does anyone know the best site to buy from, and how much horsepower it will actually add?

First, we're not allowed to recommend other sites here. We get hit with a stick...

Second, there's a dedicated Firebird/Camaro section on this site, with lots of expertise on the late model stuff. Youre' in the "muscle car" section here, and it doesn't apply to F-bodies.

MR,

I thought that (getting run over by GP) was reserved for ricers that think they can beat up on American sedans...(:-

A funny story: A friend was at VMP (Virginia Motorsports Park) running his Kamikaze crotch rocket. When he left the track, he ended up behind a Honda V-Tec thing at a stop light. A modern GP GTP (4-door) pulled up next to him. The Honda guy hit the gas hard, and the GP left him in the dust, fart-pipe and all. A dad and his two teenage boys were just driving home from a resturaunt. The Honda guy was really upset, to the point of hand gestures... Nobody told him it was "only a movie..."

Re: LT1 to LT4

Funny!
Lots of kids take the stoplight racing way too seriously. I certainly did at that age.Obviously a bit of levity is required, since there is always someone out there faster than you. Everyone loses a race occasionally and its not the end of the world.

As you say popular car culture has a lot to do with it and distorts kids expectations of their cars. Style becomes more important than substance. If the kids really wanted to go fast on a teenager budget they would all build themselves a SBC Gremlin................
(Now I think that would be cool!!!)
