My PCV valve is permanently installed? 2005

I have a small oil leak coming from my PCV valve on my '05. One small problem...there is a riveted bracket holding it into the valve cover! When I do a search online, the permanent install seems to have happened in model year 2005+. Has anyone successfully replaced one?

I'm thinking I need to cut the bracket, bend it so that the PCV valve can slide by. Any other suggestions, besides removing the valve cover?

Not sure you can get a valve for it seperate from the valve cover. If it's plugged, you can remove the cover, remove the 4 screws retaining the baffle under the PCV valve and clean out the valve with brake cleaner. If you want to replace it you'll need to replace the valve cover.

Update

I was successful in changing the PCV valve out, along with the rubber grommet. For those that may need to do this, you'll need a heavy duty snippers or a dremel with cutting wheel to cut the bracket, then bend it back to allow the valve to slide by. Install new grommet and valve (usually sold separately) and bend bracket back. Took me 20 minutes.
