95 blower fuse melt problem

hi, on my 95 rodeo. the blower motor will just stop, when i check the fuse its melted, it will melt the fuse everytime, but nothing else. what would cause the fuse to melt, it dont pop. just melts. thanks

i'd look for a 'weak' short, or a weak ground even. first step might be to run the blower at the high speed setting to see if that makes a difference, which bypasses most of the resistor pack that adjusts the voltage to get the slower speeds. set the speed before you turn on the ignition. and/or bypass the diode back and run the blower from battery voltage.
at least you are ruling in or ruling out the resistor and/or the motor, and then you can go from there in your troubleshooting.

well i only run it on high because my blower doest blow real hard. its hot hear in so cali. should i upgrade all the ground cables. mine are really make shift. i only had it 6 months. but this problem is a recent thing

It probably doesn't blow real hard because the blower motor is going bad. Soon it will just stop. Replace it.
