EF3 Si questions
Just a couple of questions...
Anyone know the capacity of the petrol tank in an EF3 Civic Si? Metric litres please! Also I'd like to find an owner's manual or repair manual for said EF3. Can anyone suggest any in particular? Sourceable in NZ. Thanx

Well my SiR tank is about the same size as the GL 4G I owned. If I really starve it of fuel I fill up with 37 liters. My guess... and it's only a guess, is that it would be a 40 liter tank for all 4G Civics.

Iv run my car pretty dry, (it was coughing going up a hill) and it took just over 40ltrs to fill. I would assume they have a 45L tank.

Have you ever had the light come on?
Mines only ever come on that one time. Im sure it was pretty close to being dry. On most cars the light comes on about 10L before empty. But apprently not on 4g SiRs.

Must be a great light then
Its not to tell you your running low on petrol, instead it tells you when you have run out of petrol

Mine comes on when I'm heading up hills and am running dry. It comes on in different intensities depending how much is left... bright = fill me up or I'm not going nowhere

Hmm, I think mine might not actualy be working correctly.
Never mind. So how many Ks do you guys get to a tank. I get about 450k's to 40L. Thats not cruising around either. IF I drive slowly its 500+ to 40L

It depends how I'm driving. Interstate freeway hauls I get 500km/l, 400 is an average of city freeway (putting the boot in to 8000 a fair bit) and 300 was the worst I ever did with aircon on all the time and really hammering the car

Even after owning the car for over 2 years, I still wind mine up just to check its all working on a fairly regular basis. I dont use the A/C a lot, only when stuck in slow moving traffic. Otherwise its everything that opens open, and enjoy the freash Kiwi Air!

I've had the petrol guage pretty much showing empty, but still never had a fuel light come on. Maybe since mine's an 87 it doesn't have one? Where exactly on the dash is it? A pic with it's location circled would be fantastic.
Last time I checked... with some booting, some normal driving (hang on, that's booting... ) it did 485 kms.
