79 Sunbird problems

some history about this car first.

Its a '79 pontiac sunbird, manual transmission, 4 speed, 2.0L, 4 cylinder

This car has only 47,000 miles on it so it wasnt driven much. however when it wasnt being driven it was being stored outside near the ocean. I have had lots of trouble with rust in the engine.

When i bought it it was running realy rough but that was mostly due to the 6 month old gas and bad sparks/wires/distributor cap (it used to bounce all over the place when i was stoped). I replaced the waterpump and the thermostat housing and the radiator.

now for the problems.

1) this one should be easy, the weather stripping and the headliner are falling/have fallen apart. the seatbelts are also frayed. The dealership dosnt sell those parts for my car anymore so does anyone know where i can get them?

2) the engine kind of "jolts" every know and again while its idleing.

3) sometimes the car starts realy odd. Like when i turn the key it makes a whirring noise but dosnt start or it makes the whirring noise and slowley rev's up to a normal idle.

4) Hopefully this one is simple. my turn indicator dosnt work, i have checked all the lights to make sure they all work, and they do. i have changed the flasher and it still dosnt work. and now im all out of ideas. any help?

now, i actualy just started learning about how to do this "car repair" kind of stuff so go easy

oh BTW this is my first post! Hi!
